| | | Multidisciplinary artist, works and creates in his studio in Jaffa Port. Born in Israel (1953) in the Givat Alia neighborhood in Jaffa. He grew and breathed the air of Jaffa, the sea and the waves of the harbor, and the art he produces today is essentially inseparable from the environment. The lighthouse is a symbol, it is the image that involves the philosophical, political and social statement of the artist: "I see the lighthouse as a symbol of morality, beauty and values. Feels to me that we now live in a world where people have become greedy, immoral, lost their values, lost the direction. With giving and dedication to every single person, with selfless love, the lighthouse calls us return to the way, return the direction, the moral and values we lost”. Moti Nataf 2011. In reality, light towers lost their purpose. Advanced technology and advanced navigation devices have replaced them. Yet, you can see them in many places in the world. Are they memorial monuments or perhaps they leave them to remind us of the direction?
Moty Nataf creates art which is essentially inseparable from the environment in which he lives.
He participated in numerous group and solo exhibitions, as follows:
2011 - "Lighthouse, boats and sea" - in a container in Old Jaffa Port
2012 - "Back to the days" at Pirates Gallery, Jerusalem
2012 - Sculpture installation, testing tools festival 8, the Youth House Tel Aviv “Back to the
The days"
He is currently working on new projects.
