"…and the captain said never mind' never mind
Tomorrow the ship shall carry me to the sea,
To the blue sea yet tomorrow…"
(Aaron Shabtai from his famous poem "In a small Tavern")
Port
The meeting point between entrance and departure, transient, a fleeting moment… non commitment.
Is it really so?
While attempting to catch the moment of departure, braced, poised and determined, the artists are exposed.
For the time has come to step out of their inner melting pot, to lift the anchor and set sail toward the open expanse.
They will leave their own private studios to go to the general public space, accessible to all.
Toward the tumultuous point of intersection between here and there, the point at which time dimensions meet. It is the place where parts come together. There, private actions correspond with others.
This is a statement of a commitment to exit home, surf and return.
