Squatting
A man is squatting. He has taken the elemental posture of curiosity, staring at something.
The posture of is also precarious; the figure is dynamically balanced and must continuously and actively adjust his weight and inner tension in order to remain upright.
The surface texture of the figure is indicative of the balance it holds within time, it reveals the boundary between the figure as art piece and as material, between the figure in generation and decay. The boundary between the figure and the surrounding space is permeable, partly dissolving into nonbeing.
